Well, that was a weird one.
After two back-to-back losses, Adelaide are back on the winner's list with an 18-point win over GWS.

It was a low-scoring, tough encounter in wet and windy conditions at Adelaide Oval. GWS with just the four goals, 10 behinds.
Lachie Whitfield a big day with 39 touches, while Tom Green followed by 35. But they couldn't find a way to kick straight.
Similarly, the Crows weren't exactly straight shooters with 10 behinds to their four goals. Taylor Walker the only goal scorer with multiple majors with two.
But Adelaide will take the win. It's their fourth victory this year and propels them back into the top eight.

Walker gets a controversial free, kicks a behind

Sam Taylor chased the ball as it tumbled towards the Crows' goal. He tried to tap it to his teammate Jack Buckley but didn't reach him and it was called insufficient intent.

Taylor Walker got the free kick, but his shot hit the post. The minor score making it a three-goal margin for the Crows with just under five minutes to go.

Rankine gets a goal, loves it

That's a huge moment for Izak Rankine, who pumped his fists in the air as the Adelaide home crowd got on their feet.
At the other end, Jake Stringer put through his first for the day with a left foot snap... to complete silence.
Leaves the door ever so slightly ajar for the Giants, who need three goals in just over five minutes.

Fogarty on ice

DarcyFogarty is back in the hands of medical staff getting assessed for his shoulder, after that big third-quarter bump from Harry Himmelberg.
He played on but appeared in obvious discomfort and looks in a world of discomfort now, with ice applied to his shoulder.
One to watch this upcoming week.
Meanwhile, Aaron Cadman has kicked another behind for the Giants. They have now kicked 3.9

Crows make it a three-goal lead
By Marnie Vinall

After Zac Taylor kicked another behind for Adelaide, the Crows have a three-goal lead.

With just over 13 minutes left on the clock, that's a margin that would usually be well within reach to overcome. But for the Giants today, it would take kicking as many goals in this last half-quarter as they have the whole game.

Giants get their third goal of the day

Harvey Thomas collected the ball after it spilled in the Giants' forward 50 and ran it through to a goal.
He was in the right spot at the right time and delivered a needed major for GWS. Simply goals it what they need right now.

In wet and windy conditions, Adelaide and GWS have entered their final term in their bizarre battle at Adelaide Oval.

Right on the cusp of three-quarter time, veteran Crow Taylor Walker was awarded a free kick within range after his opponent Kieren Briggs was pinged for holding in the contest.
Walker slotted it through to get his second goal of the day and Adelaide's sixth. Meanwhile, GWS still just have the two goals.

Fogarty comes back on, helps Crows get another
By Marnie Vinall
By Marnie Vinall
To the surprise of the Fox commentators, DarcyFogarty has come back on the field.
They had assumed he was done for the day after copping a big bump from Giant Harry Himmelberg.

He got involved straight away and was part of a team goal for the Crows, with Alex Neal-Bullen the one to finish.
Meanwhile, the weather is not making things easy for GWS or Adelaide to get much going. It's wet and windy.

Fogarty off after big bump

Maybe I've blinked at the wrong time, but Fogarty has been very quiet.
- Greg
DarcyFogarty has had a quiet afternoon, with just the five touches and no scoring shots.
It might not get better for him either, as he has come off after copping a hip and shoulder bump from Harry Himmelberg. He grimaced straight away and the vision doesn't look good.
The Crows forward is now being assessed on the bench. He's grabbed at his shoulder, but it's a wait and see at the moment.

Jones breaks through for the Giants

GWS' Darcy Jones kicked it on his left from the boundary to put through his side's second goal of the game.
A great (and much-needed) goal from a tricky angle. It draws Adelaide's margin back down to two goals.

The behinds show rolls on

You'd think Toby Greene is a pretty safe shot... but not today. The Giants skipper put through his side's sixth behind today. The ball usually in safe hands when in his grasp.
Before it, his teammate. Jake Stringer has now kicked 2.10 as a Giant after getting another minor score this half.
Adelaide's Riley Thilthorpe didn't have much luck down the other end either, with a minor score to make it 4.6 for the Crows.

Crows kick off second half

After 51 AFL games, Adelaide's Max Michalanney has kicked his first goal in senior footy. And what a time to do it.
His teammates came from everywhere to get around him.
Michalanney has the job on Toby Greene today, so a tough day out, but it's started well this second half.

Second half underway

Alright, let's see if either Adelaide or GWS can kick some goals this second half.

That was the Giants lowest first half score since 2012 (they have just the one goal and four behinds).

Not a great watch for either side you'd think

3.5 This inaccurate shooting could come to bite them at the end of the game. Not happy Marnie!
- Greg
High-scoring doesn't always equal a good game, nor does low-scoring translate to a bad one.
But you'd think this is a pretty deflating match to watch for both Crows and Giants' fanbases.

GWS have just the one (ONE!!) goal by half-time and haven't looked close to threatening or breaking through.
Meanwhile, Adelaide have dominated around the ground - they had 33 inside 50s to 16 that opening half - but just the three goals to show for it.
You're right Greg, that could come back to bite them.

Izak Rankinepropelled the ball inside 50 towards Riley Thilthorpe but Sam Taylor took the mark.
Two minutes later, the Crows looked to set up another chance to score... but the ball landed in the bread basket of Taylor, again.

Both Adelaide's coach in Matthew Nicks and GWS' in Adam Kingsley look frustrated as neither side have been able to get much going this game.
At half-time, the Crows lead after kicking just three goals to the Giants' one.

This is some low-scoring affair

Dwyane Russell said it best on the broadcast: "This is some bizarre game".
Adelaide have gone inside 50 29 times and have just the three goals to show for it. They have kicked five behinds, including some very gettable majors.
Meanwhile GWS have gone inside 50 12 times and have just the one goal so far this game. There is just over three minutes until half-time.

Pressure from both sides
By Marnie Vinall
By Marnie Vinall
Neither side have been really able to take a good hold of this game so far, with strong opposition players shutting down any kind of run. There's also been a decent amount of turnovers.

While there is a bit of wind at Adelaide Oval, wayward kicking hasn't helped.
Crows have just three goals, the Giants one.
Meanwhile, we've got an update on Callan Ward, who is back on the ground. Fox Footy reports a bit of a knock to his arm but he's all good to go.
